Chile & Argentina
There's chilly Chile and desert Chile, and lots in between. But in fact Desert Chile is sometimes chilly too, especially at 6am and 4000m in the Altiplano. Then there's the Lake District, which is a bit south of the middle with a few volcanoes to spice things up, some remote bits of coast, Santiago and nearby Valparaiso, which is chock full of character. Way out in the Atlantic there's Easter Island and all its mysteries. So much variety for one country of only 16 million people. We also saw a bit of Argentinian Patagonia before crossing west into Chile. For the full story of our trip see http://blog.travelpod.com/travel-blog/imageyonder/1/tpod.html
