Desert States

For 800 kilometres/500 miles, the Colorado River cuts its way through the American south west, and the incredible desert landscapes that make up one of the most extraordinary and varied landscapes on earth. Home to an astonishing number of National Parks, State Parks, Forests, Monuments as well as Native Reservations as big as Belgium and Holland combined, it's a photographic paradise. We only touched the surface in 2019: in the stunning Zion National Park, and the vast expanse scooped out below sea level that is Death Valley.
